Finnegan_2 is on the MOVE! Shout-Out to the First Movers

Big news: the very first gnome has officially been found and moved! This is a milestone for this new version of The Gnome Project, and I’ve got to give a shout-out to the group who made it happen. They didn’t have an example to follow or someone else’s experience to copy—they found the gnome, seemed to get what the project was about, and decided to join in. I think that’s pretty cool.

Not only did they move the gnome to a new location, but they also updated the details, added their names, and shared a photo of themselves with it. First Contact! It looks like they enjoyed the process and that makes the work of getting this started feel worth it.

It’s encouraging to know there are people out there who will take the time to stop, engage, and add their own piece to the story knowing that it is going to be handed off to someone they will likely never meet but share something between them, regardless. I know there are more people like this out there, and I’m excited to see what happens as more gnomes go out into the wild.

To the first movers: thank you for jumping in and helping to get this phase of the project cranked up. You’ve set the stage for what’s possible, and I look forward to seeing where this goes next.
